Well, we're back from our successful L.A. adventure and our performance at the BILLBOARD DIGITAL MUSIC AWARDS and it's time to say our thank you's. Thank you to Tamara Conniff, editor in Chief of Billboard, for all the kind words you said about us at the Billboard Digital Music Awards and for staying steadfast to your "mission" to help our band get huge. Thank you to John, President of Billboard for getting us rip-roaring drunk after the show and for throwing Joey in the pool with all his clothes 'cause we're STILL laughing about that. Thanks to sweet Michele from Billboard for hanging out, doing shots with us after the show, and ofcourse for doing such a great job with the production. Finally, thanks to our friend, Kristina Tunzi at Billboard for contacting us in the first place. Happy Birthday, girl!

Thanks once again to Gibson for hooking us with the guitars. We love you, Jenny! And of course, thanks again to our great supporter in Gibson, Seattle, Jeff Dana, who shipped a specially amplified acoustic mandolin from Seattle so that we would have it for our L.A. shows. Jeff, you rule and we can't thank you enough.

Thanks to Jagermeister for sponsoring us and for making up those LOURDS promo CD's we gave out at the awards show.

Thanks to Sarah's mom for her surprise visit, for your prayers and support, and for making Sarah happier than we've ever seen her. Also, thanks for giving Lourds the best backrub she's ever gotten in her life! Thanks to Sarah's uncle for giving Sarah that long-needed chiropractic adjustment and for giving Lourds her very first neck cracks. Both Sarah and Lourds felt like a million bucks after you after that.

Thanks to our good friend and fan of 6 years, Alex, who drove us around everywhere and took great care of us. We adore you, Alex! Thanks to beautiful Jen and Alex for putting up posters for us and being our street team. And last but not least, thanks that crazy culinary king, Ken for helping us out with anything and everything.

LOURDS is not just a band, it's a team effort, and we are eternally grateful to all those who support and believe in us. We would be nowhere without the help of our friends and fans.

Our Seattle trip for the ROCKRGRL MUSIC CONFERENCE was a great success but we would not have been able to pull it off without the help of some amazing people.

SPECIAL THANKS to Jeff and Jenny, our Seattle reps at GIBSON who lent us the mandolin and the beautiful Gibson Les Paul Custom for our show at STUDIO SEVEN. Also thanks to Jeff and Kurt for running around on the 11th hour, purchasing the Fishman pickup, and rigging the exquisite acoustic Les Paul mandolin so it can be amplified over a rock band. "Astropop" NEVER sounded as good! Thank you Jeff, for wanting to spread the word about our band to everyone you know. We appreciate everything you've done for us. GIBSON RULES!

Thanks to our host and hostess with the mostest, Peter and Mary, who not only housed us during our stay but made us feel like family. You and your beautiful children have made a lasting impression on us and we are eternally grateful.

Also, last but certainly not least, thanks to our friend Duane, a fan who first saw LOURDS at the first ROCKRGRL MUSIC CONFERENCE 4 years ago, and who came to the rescue on Friday -- renting a vehicle, showing us a good time in Seattle, and driving us around on the day of our show. WE LOVE YOU, DUANE!

Stay tuned! We'll be back in Seattle very soon!

Pick up the latest and final issue of ROCKRGRL magazine with the full page review of this year's Medusa Festival IV!

"On June 27, CB's hosted the fourth annual Medusa Festival, the brainchild of New York rocker, Lourds, a night featuring a lineup of female-fronted or all-female bands ... As headliner, LOURDS took the stage, audience members stood on chairs and held cameras over their heads ... Lourds plays violin, mandolin, electric and acoustic guitar and provides the attitude. With Sarah on drums, guitarist Gene and bassist Joey, LOURDS [the band] has become harder sounding over the last several years. With the moxie to sing 'I'm a Queen', and 'I Know Who I Am', Lourds owns whatever stage she steps on." -- Kathleen Warnock

What if the club moved to Las Vegas? "They can't call it CBGB's in Vegas!" he said adamantly. Will he perform there? He hesitated. "Yeah, but, you know, for the right money." Last night's show at CBGB for Medusa Festival III was a great success. Despite the torrential rain and the fact that the Grand Central Parkway was shut down completely, CBGB was sold out! All the bands who played this year were completely riveting and rocked the house. Special thanks to Pretty Suicide, Goodfinger, The Outside, New Professionals, The Missing, Valeze and DJ Plain Jane. Thanks to genius poster artist and co-promoter Joe Simko. Thanks to Stuart Mildener and Mizell for being my right hand boys and Danielle Zanghi for being my right hand girl. Thanks to David Tanner and Kipp Elbaum for helping with the backline and who were absolutely essential for the night to run smoothly. Thanks to Denny Daniel who was videotaping the whole show, as well as Samm Cohen and David Valez who stayed all night to photograph all the bands. Thanks to David Goldstein at Staples and Jack Tse for hooking up the Medusa site. Thanks to Dan Henigman, genius make-up artist extraordinaire, who especially flew in from Georgia for Medusa to help cut, rip, pin, and adorn a black t-shirt to make the rock n' roll scraps that I was wearing last night. Thanks to everyone in CBGB, the home of Medusa Festival. And last but not least, thanks to my band, Brian Eisen, Steve Ruchelman, and Andrew Frawley for rocking out with me and helping make the magic happen on stage. Love you all so much! Thanks for a memorable night!
